HERMES 0-1 PEGASUS
Claire McMahon 19 minute
Hermes dominated the opening period but good defence by Pegasus marshalled by Boyles contained the Hermes forwards with chances falling to Duke, Pinder and O Flanagan in the first quarter.
In the 19th minute Pegasus first circle penetration resulted in McMahon sliding the ball under Hermes keeper Gray after good work down the right involving Beaney and McConnell and lead totally against the run of play. Neither side created any clear chances in the second quarter as both defences held strong.
The second half Hermes worked hard but were denied by a great save by Sharon Moffett when Duke went one on one with the keeper. Gray made a good save from Pegasus's 4th corner of the game. Neither keeper was really tested in the final quarter with the game played between 25's. Hermes almost snatched a draw from a penalty corner on the hooter with Pinder's touch going marginally wide.
Pegasus will be the happier as they head back home with 3 points but Hermes will gain some satisfaction with a loosing bonus point.
