Cork Harlequins
Cork Harlequins hockey club was founded in 1925 and currently has 5 women’s teams. The women’s section has enjoyed great success in recent years winning the Irish Senior Cup (2000) and the European Cup Winners Cup Trophy (2001). The current Harlequins squad contains 1 current Irish International Cliodhna Sargent along with 2 former Irish senior international players; Karen Bateman & Rachael Kohler, who is the most capped player in Ireland.
New coach Eddie Gash has been the busiest in Munster recruiting this summer - former England underage international Sinead McCarthy joins, along with six other new faces - Acacia Taylor, sisters Antonia & Edwina McGrath, Jane Bourke, Laura McSweeney & Lesley-Ann Daunt.
